Winter Inner Soul Art Process:
Based on the middle ages Norwegian tale of Olaf Asteson. Yiana Belkalopolos, 2021 (Led by artist and anthroposophical worker Kristena West.) Olaf goes to the priest to tell of his 13 day sleep and what he saw in his dreams. Here, he is with the priest, a man who has lost a leg and will need a prosthetic. Olaf tells how, in his dream, he was wafted up to the clouds and saw a divine being in the heavens, and then was thrown done into the depths of crisis, feeling lost in the underworld, (where in my image here he is plagued by spiders and others hellish beings). |
The Touch That Frees
When we met, there was all knowing. A dance, a presence. We were breaking ground, norms. Crushing on life. We were terrified. We didn't know it. Till we touched. Lifetimes streamed into us then. Who would we be now? The old pains didn't want to join in. So we showed up with holes. We poured in essences of life. Painted our truths anew. Welcomed the touch of knowing and loving right into the gnarly roots and vines of the wilderness of our times. Despite our fears. And we sought the touch that frees. Yiana Belkalopolos, 2020 |
