Expressive Arts Gallery for Pearls

Theme 1: The Process of Being More of Myself

Picture
Winter Inner Soul Art Process:

Based on the middle ages Norwegian tale of Olaf Asteson.

Yiana Belkalopolos, 2021

(Led by artist and anthroposophical worker Kristena West.)

Olaf goes to the priest to tell of his 13 day sleep and what he saw in his dreams. Here, he is with the priest, a man who has lost a leg and will need a prosthetic. Olaf tells how, in his dream, he was wafted up to the clouds and saw a divine being in the heavens, and then was thrown done into the depths of crisis, feeling lost in the underworld, (where in my image here he is plagued by spiders and others hellish beings).

The Touch That Frees

When we met,
there was all knowing.
A dance, a presence.
We were breaking ground, norms.
Crushing on life.

We were terrified.
We didn't know it.
Till we touched.
Lifetimes streamed into us then.
Who would we be now?

The old pains
didn't want to join in.
So we showed up with holes.
We poured in essences of life.
Painted our truths anew.

Welcomed the touch
of knowing and loving right
into the gnarly roots and vines of
the wilderness of our times.

Despite our fears.

And we sought the touch that frees.

   Guidelines
   for

The Pearl and the Hut Gallery

This gallery space is a place to be heard, seen, and known for what is coming into wholeness for individual Pearls as they work through the insights in
The Pearl and the Hut book series. The theme of this page is, "The Process of Being More of Myself", through self-knowing supported by Anthroposophical insights for keeping heart and soul as one.

By clicking on the button below, you'll find a form to email me a copyright-free photo, image, poem, or a link to your blog or Youtube video.

The Gallery is a place for creative expressive sharings. Advertising of one's initiatives can't be supported here at this time, though a future discussion of the possibilities remains open.

After screening for inappropriate content according to Weebly website guidelines  and with your stated permission in your email, I'll post your creative piece(s) here. Please let me know if you want your full name attributed or not.  If you decide on a pseudonym, I reserve the right to state that in the attribution of your piece.

To keep the gallery manageable for me and to make it accessible to as many people as possible, I'll post no more than two images per person to start, and I reserve the right to take images off at any time without notice. Please know that I'll be doing so in as sensitive a way as I can. If you feel that I've made a call that isn't fully truthful, I'll expect a sensitive approach toward me as well as we work through finding a solution. If a decision falls into questioning that becomes too much of a stressor for myself to manage, I may call upon the Pearl community here at large for input and collaborative decision-making.

If this page becomes extra busy, I'll notify you of the situation when I receive your email and give you the freedom to decide if you want to waitlist your offering.

PS. To aid Pearl creatives, I'll be posting screenshots of the slide-shows I use in my presentations here for easy reference as individuals work through the books ideas creatively, on their own or together with others.
